How to properly inspect your deck project:

  • Your project should be inspected in normal lighting conditions.
  • Start on one side and work your way around the deck.
  • Stand at a normal distance away from the area being inspected (5-6) feet.
  • Check for any paint runs, missed coverage or uneven coverage.
  • Look for Stain on adjacent surfaces, such as siding, trim, concrete, brick, rocks, etc. These should all be Stain free.
  • Please Note: When using transparent/toner products the finished project will resemble the appearance of the deck after it is washed and prior to product application. Many stains such as rust, oil, charcoal, and algae are not completely removable.

Care Instructions for your new paint project.

  • You may walk on your deck 12 hours after the staining is complete.
  • Do not put any furniture or other items on the deck for 48 hours after your project is completed.
  • Do not wash for 30 days so the stain has time to fully set.
  • Refer to the manufacturer’s care instructions for additional information.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions.
